1) Maintain the use of sideout scoringThe only major rule change that will be used will be one toss on the serve rather than two. There will be a review of rules after the NCAA has decided how they are going to administer volleyball rules. The NCAA rules committee will probably meet in the fall and the MIAA will review what set of rules to use in their January 2002 meeting.
2) No let serve

INTRODUCTION
Over this past boys' volleyball season
there has been great discussion about the proposal to move from NAGWS rules
to NFHS. This web site is an attempt to assemble the facts and encourage
an informed debate.
Starting in the 2002-2003
season, NAGWS will no longer publish rules and there is a proposal under
consideration at the NCAA to take over this job. The NFHS rules
are used by a great majority of the high school associations in the United
States. Only two states do not use NFHS rules and Massachusetts is one
of them.
